A group of international students from Shanghai University's "Hey" International Students Choir visited Zhongshan on August 10, where they toured Shiqi, Guzhen and Xiaolan to explore cutting-edge tech firms and get an immersive feel for the city's industrial vitality.

At the Star Alliance Global Brand Lighting Center in Guzhen, the students were drawn to the exquisite lighting products that are widely sold in more than 100 countries. They tried out voice-controlled whole-home smart lighting systems and experienced the fascinating properties of Taili Technology's nanomaterial-based "non-Newtonian fluid" gloves.

At Vatti, the students not only explored smart kitchen appliances operated by gesture and voice controls, but also got a close look at the Olympic torch manufacturing exhibition. Malaysian student Woo Mei Yee was particularly impressed by the automatic flame-extinguishing safety feature on the cookers. She said the visit had revealed to her the advanced state of Chinese technology and sparked her desire to work in Zhongshan in the future.
