The 2026 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Zhongshan) Dragon Boat Invitational took place on the Qijiang River from June 19 to 21, drawing 74 teams with 2,500 athletes to Zhongshan — the largest turnout in the event's history.

Meanwhile, the 2026 Zhongshan Dragon Boat Waterfront Coffee & Music Festival ran across 23 towns/subdistricts.

During the just-ended Dragon Boat Festival holiday, Zhongshan offered a festive feast blending culture, commerce and tourism, letting visitors from near and far soak in the lively, down-to-earth charm of everyday life.

Over the three-day break, the city recorded 832,600 tourist arrivals, up 1.06% year on year. Overnight stays totaled 160,900, while tourism revenue hit 391 million yuan, up 3.44% from a year earlier.
