Hubei (gold), Jiangxi (silver), and Jiangsu (bronze) claimed podium spots, while Guangdong, led by Su as the first leg, finished fourth in 38.71 seconds.

The 36-year-old "Flying Man in Asia" from Zhongshan's Guzhen, also a five-time National Games competitor, called this his final race.

Teaming with post-2000 athletes Liu Hongxi, Shi Junhao and Chen Guanfeng, he ran a symbolic "last dance" that echoed his 2009 National Games debut, where he helped Guangdong win gold.

As Cantopop classic I Can't Say Goodbye echoed through the stadium, tens of thousands of spectators erupted in prolonged cheers, honoring the sprint icon.
