The highly anticipated ShenZhong (Shenzhen-Zhongshan) Link's west artificial island opened to the public for trial operations on October 25, inviting visitors on an extraordinary journey through this mega engineering project.

The first stop was the third-floor observation deck of the main building, an ideal spot for photos with the twin towers of the ShenZhong Bridge stretching across Lingdingyang waters. From here, one can enjoy panoramic views of the bridge's majestic span and the harmonious blend of island and ocean scenery.

Adjacent to the deck lies the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area cross-sea passage science base, where the inaugural tour group got up close with major national engineering equipment.

After the immersive science tour, visitors followed guides on an island-circumambulating stroll, taking in coastal ecological vistas and the island's impressive infrastructure.

Future plans include introducing boutique hotels, specialty restaurants and souvenir shops to enhance the tourism experience. 

The project is also exploring passenger shipping services and maritime sightseeing routes, alongside helicopter services from downtowns of Shenzhen and Zhongshan and low-altitude transport via eVTOL aircraft.

Outdoor camping facilities are under development, featuring RV zones and diverse camping programs, blending nature and adventure.
