The 3rd phase of the 139th Canton Fair was held in Guangzhou from May 1 to 5, with multiple enterprises from Zhongshan's Guzhen Town participating as exhibitors. Many overseas buyers traveled from the fair venue to origin factories in the town for on-site inspections and order placements.

"Once they learn about us at the fair, buyers always ask where our factory is located," noted Su Shuxian, general manager of Huayi Lighting's international business department.

As the sole Guzhen-based enterprise in this year's lighting brand exhibition area, Huayi Lighting has attended the Canton Fair for over ten consecutive years. This year's participation yielded far better results than expected: visitor numbers from overseas grew by over 40% year-on-year, with the most notable surge coming from Africa.

Zenlea Lighting, who made its Canton Fair debut, got off to a strong start on the opening day, securing a significant number of intention orders.

"Around 20 groups of international buyers have left the fair venue specifically to visit our Guzhen factory," said Zenlea's general manager Zhou Bangjie, adding that clients from Africa, the Middle East and Latin America made up the largest proportion.

Data reveals that Guzhen-made lighting products account for over 70% of China's domestic market share, with exports reaching more than 130 countries and regions. The town hosts over 30,000 lighting and related enterprises, generating an annual output value exceeding 100 billion yuan.
