During the 2026 Spring Festival travel rush, lasting 40 days from Feb 2 to Mar 13, Zhongshan is expected to see 11.58 million passenger trips across road, rail and waterway systems, a 5% growth year-on-year.

Road transport dominates with 10.5 million trips projected (including 184,000 Shenzhen-Zhongshan cross-city bus trips), up 5.08% YoY. 

Pre-holiday peaks hit Feb 14 and Feb 15 (2 days before Chinese New Year's Eve), while post-holiday surges occur on Feb 22 and Feb 23 (days 6 and 7 of the Chinese New Year).
