A Japanese-based overseas Chinese recently made a special trip to extend thanks to the Zhongshan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and the court–federation collaborative conciliation service station at Cuiheng New District People's Court.
The client had suffered rights violations and found himself embroiled in a cross-border dispute worth nearly USD 100,000. Through joint conciliation by the court and the federation, the months-long deadlock was finally broken.
Since the start of this year, the federation has taken on 125 cases referred by the Cuiheng Court for in-litigation conciliation, with a total disputed amount exceeding 110 million yuan. The cases relating to overseas Chinese span various civil and commercial areas, including property management, housing transactions and private lending. Seven of them have been settled, helping the parties recover over 1.02 million yuan in losses.
