Alibaba's grocery retail arm Freshippo will open its East District fulfillment center on June 24, marking the fourth of this kind in Zhongshan after Shiqi, Shaxi and Tanzhou.

The new center covers an area stretching north to Shagang Market and the Haotou area, south to the South Outer Ring Road, west to Bo'ai 5th Road, and east to parts of Kaiyin New Town in Torch High-tech Zone.

Once open, residents within roughly 3 km of the Orient can simply open the Freshippo app to shop online, with delivery to their doorstep within the fastest 30 minutes.
