Zhongshan plans to build a river crossing along Minlang Avenue, spanning the Hengmen Waterway, to link Zhongshangang and Minzhong subdistricts.
The river crossing begins at the Nansha-Zhongshan Expressway interchange at the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Cooperation Zone in Minzhong. After crossing Zhong'an Avenue and the Hengmen Waterway, the bridge enters Zhongshangang, and then passes over Yanjiang Road and Huizhan East Road before the main span terminates at the Shiji Avenue intersection.

The total length of the route is about 3.2 kilometers, with a 600-meter cable-stayed bridge as its key structure.
The road section is 70 meter wide, built in accordance with the standards of first-class highway and urban road, featuring a six-lane dual carriageway on the main line and a design speed of 80 km/h.
The project costs about 2.97 billion yuan, with a planned construction period of 3 years.
