The renovated non-motorized lane on Chongwen Road (崇文路) in Zhongshan's East District opened to traffic on March 10.

Prior to this, two newly built two-wheeler lanes on Donghai 1st Road (东海一路) and Yufeng Road (玉峰路) were already put into use in Dongfeng Town.

Currently, 41 roads in urban areas have non-motorized lanes, totaling 51 kilometers; of the city's 1,616 kilometers of arterial and secondary roads, 476 kilometers now feature such lanes.
This reflects Zhongshan's proactive approach to addressing growing safety risks from e-bike and motorcycle traffic.
By end-2025, the city had 2.47 million e-bikes and nearly 300,000 Zhongshan-registered motorcycles.
