Zhongshan City People's Hospital inaugurated its pilot caregiver-free ward in the traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation department on November 3.

Professionally trained medical care assistants, working alongside nurses, will provide 24-hour daily care for patients, easing the caregiving burden on families. 

The hospital's first cohort of 11 assistants has completed systematic, standardized training.

Pricing Model:

One-on-one care: 220 yuan/day/patient

Team-based care: 100 yuan/day/patient
