The Zhongshan Institute for Drug Discovery (ZIDD) held its 2026 graduation ceremony at the Zhongshan Life Science Park on June 15. Doctoral and master's graduates bid farewell to campus life and set out on new chapters with their research ambitions.

This year's cohort includes 20 doctoral and 235 master's graduates — one of them an international student — all jointly trained by ZIDD and multiple universities nationwide. Many delved into cutting-edge research during their studies and delivered impressive results.
Chen Shurong stands out as one of the brightest. During her studies, she specialized in protein research, played a key role in HIV vaccine development and led the purification of critical proteins. Her independent research on drug resistance has now entered the intellectual property filing stage.
