The baseball team of South Korea's Jeju Tourism University has begun a 30-day intensive winter training program at Zhongshan International Baseball and Softball Center, marking the city's first extended host role for a foreign adult baseball team.

"We hit the ground running. The sunny weather and top-tier facilities here made adapting easy," remarked one player.
He praised the professional-standard fields, superior dormitory amenities, and dining options that exceeded expectations. Nearby venues hosting the Chinese Professional Baseball (CPB) league provided direct exposure to China's thriving baseball culture.
Chen Hui, chair of Zhongshan Panda Baseball Club, revealed consistent interest since March 2024: "We have received numerous inquiries from professional baseball teams in snowy regions such as South Korea and Japan. Winter training demand is high those places, and even football teams are exploring Zhongshan as a training destination."
