Construction of Xiangshan Middle School, the first public secondary school on Zhongshan's Ma'an Island, has completed excavation support and earthworks for its underground parking and infrastructure.

Foundation work for two lab buildings is progressing smoothly, with first-floor beams and slabs already poured. They are slated to top out by year-end, coinciding with the completion of the underground parking facility. 

The full school, designed to accommodate 72 classes (36 each for junior and senior high), is targeted for overall completion by late 2027.

Currently operational institutions on the island include Cuihu Kindergarten, Zhongshan Jinian Primary School, Zhongshan Xiwan Foreign Language School, and Cuiya School.
