The 2025 "Charming Guangdong" Root-Seeking Winter Camp (Zhongshan) kicked off at the Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen on December 23. A total of 104 campers from 10 countries gathered in Zhongshan, a renowned hometown for overseas Chinese, to embark on a 10-day journey blending Lingnan cultural heritage exploration with educational study.
During the 10-day program, participants will:
Trace historical footsteps at cultural venues like the Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen, experiencing firsthand the revolutionary pioneer's upbringing while exploring Zhongshan's cultural lineage and the core values of patriotism and hometown devotion among overseas Chinese.
Engage with cutting-edge tech by visiting innovation hubs and enterprises to observe drone operations, astronomical science demos and low-altitude aviation experiences, directly sensing China's rapid development and the strategic allure of the Greater Bay Area.
Reconnect with cultural DNA through immersive activities — wearing traditional Hanfu, practicing Chinese martial arts, and experiencing intangible cultural heritage crafts.
