The north square of the Chinese Rosewood Culture Expo City in Zhongshan's Dachong Town glittered under the spotlight on December 3 evening, as a fashion show kicked off here as a signature event of the Zhongshan Fashion Week.

Hosts Shaxi and Dachong united nearly 20 local apparel enterprises, over 60 international supermodels and 1,500 drones to showcase Zhongshan's apparel heritage and transformation.
The show was divided into three part. During the first part "The Past Show", traditional buildings became the stage for Hanfu in the Tang dynasty. "The Modern Show" showcased the art of clothes making and local brands' casual wear, denim and wedding dresses. During "The Future Show", drone light arrays illuminated the sky as cyberpunk-clad models strode through a tech-forward spectacle.

As one of China's casual wear hubs, Shaxi recorded a GDP of 11.147 billion yuan (+6.0% YoY) in 2024. It is home to over 14,000 apparel entities and has developed a full-chain ecosystem from materials to retail.

Dachong, one of Guangdong's top 4 denim towns, contributed 5.265 billion yuan GDP in 2024, with more than 280 denim firms producing 300 million garments annually.
