The 17th Zhongshan Book Fair will run from August 15 to 19 at Zhongshan Expo Center, with simultaneous events held across the city.

This year's event has secured participation from major publishers including Peking University Press, Guangdong Publishing Group and Shenzhen Publishing Group. Organizers have also extended invitations to Grand Unity publishing and media company and Macao's Hall de Cultura, aiming to foster cultural exchanges within the Greater Bay Area.

Notable guests include Kang Zhen, vice president of Beijing Normal University and expert in ancient Chinese literature, alongside bestselling author Ma Boyong ("The Litchi Road"). These luminaries will host lectures and book signings during the fair.

A new nighttime program titled "Wonderful Reading Nights" will debut, blending literary themes from blockbuster "The Litchi Road" with Zhongshan culture through artistic performances, targeting younger audiences.

To boost cultural consumption, organizers will distribute 150,000 yuan in digital book coupons through partnerships with Zhongshan Bureau of Commerce and Zhongshan Federation of Trade Unions.
