The 14th Guangdong Middle School Games concluded on July 31 with the closing ceremony held at Zhongshan Gymnasium. Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Zhongshan were the top three on the medal table.

This year's Middle School Games featured 5,492 athletes from 21 Guangdong cities competing across 12 sports events and 234 sub-events.

The Zhongshan delegation of 450 athletes won 50 gold, 38 silver and 22 bronze medals, finishing second on the gold medal table.

During the closing ceremony, Zhuhai as the host of the 15th Guangdong Middle School Games accepted the event flag from Zhongshan.
