The 14th Guangdong Middle School Games' orienteering competition started at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School in Zhongshan on July 26.
Spanning five days, the competition brought together 33 teams with over 520 junior and senior high school athletes.
The competition comprises seven events, including 100m sprint orienteering, short-distance orienteering and relay races, with 26 gold medals up for grabs.
On opening day, Zhongshan secured two golds, clinching victory in the sprint mixed relay across both junior and senior high school categories.

The boys' volleyball final at the 14th Guangdong Middle School Games concluded on July 26 at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School. Zhongshan overcame Jiangmen 3-2 to claim the championship trophy.
Meanwhile, the girls' volleyball competition wrapped up at Zhongshan No.1 Middle School, with Shenzhen securing gold, Jiangmen silver, and Zhongshan earning bronze.
