The "Root-Seeking Journey in China" Overseas Chinese Youth Summer Camp opened at the Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen on July 21.
Fifty-eight young overseas Chinese from the US and Austria embark on a 10-day cultural root-seeking journey in the great leader's hometown.
The summer camp began with a solemn floral tribute ceremony, during which participants stood in unison before Sun Yat-sen's statue, bowing three times to honor his legacy.
The group then explored Cuiheng New District and the Future Technology Center of the Bay Area. Standing beside the ShenZhong Link, a marvel of modern engineering, they witnessed firsthand the Greater Bay Area's vitality and Zhongshan's dynamism.
During the summer camp, participants will also visit tech startups, try on Han Chinese clothing, experience flight simulation, practice calligraphy and intangible cultural heritage, and tour villages.
