Zhongshan City Construction Group's rail transit property arm acquired a land parcel on the west side of Qiwan Avenue in Shiqi subdistrict for about 265 million yuan on November 3.

The plot is part of the Qijiang New Town Station TOD (transit-oriented development) project of the Nansha-Zhongshan Intercity Railway. It is the first TOD plot in Zhongshan to be sold through public land bidding, and the city's first true station-city integration project.

Under the plan, the project will have about 119,800 square meters of floor space. Built around the Qijiang New Town Station as the core hub, it will combine rail transportation, waterfront commerce, premium business and quality housing, bringing together such facilities as rails, parks, shopping complexes, offices, schools, and cultural and sports venues.
