A delegation of journalists and online influencers from Russia, India, Lithuania, Turkey and other countries crossed the ShenZhong Link into Zhongshan on October 20, as part of the 2026 "A Date with China · Meet Guangdong" International Media Tour.

The delegation went first to Mingyang Smart Energy Group and then to the Sunwen West Road pedestrian street, taking the pulse of a city known for its manufacturing.

At Mingyang's technology center, overseas journalists gathered around the guide, pressing for details. Exhibits on offshore green hydrogen and deep-sea energy drew particularly keen interest.

Behind them, a display board carried a set of eye-catching figures: the company's products and solutions reach more than 60 countries and regions, and so far it has delivered over 25,000 wind turbines.

From its beginnings in Zhongshan's Torch High-tech Zone, Mingyang has grown into a world-leading wind power equipment manufacturer. "We want friends from abroad to see that China's new energy drive is not a slogan, but a green transition you can see and measure," an executive with the company said.

"Here I feel as if I have glimpsed a corner of the future. The people creating things here think long term and think of the world. Everyone is focused on the same big cause — protecting nature and safeguarding the planet — and that struck deeply me," said Larion ShinesCreed, a Russian online influencer.
