The China Pharmaceutical Industry Development Conference 2026 opened in Zhongshan on September 15, where the Pharmaceutical Industry International Cooperation and Service Platform was launched. It is designed to help domestic companies go global while helping foreign companies enter the Chinese market.

The platform will carry out research and publish reports on pharmaceutical companies' international development, covering the overseas expansion of innovative drugs, generics and biologics as well as outbound investment in manufacturing. It will also compile guidelines for overseas expansion in key regional markets.

The platform will connect companies with service resources in product registration, market access, supply chains, market channels, finance and taxation, and regulatory compliance, helping them explore international markets, adopt suitable international strategies and manage risks.

To promote exchanges and cooperation, the platform will host international development forums for pharmaceutical companies, help them pursue business cooperation on overseas expansion, and provide information and channels for foreign companies entering the Chinese market.

The platform also focuses on capacity building, working with partners to build a knowledge base on international markets and provide specialized training on laws and regulations and international product registration, helping companies improve their international operational capabilities.

In addition, the platform will organize overseas research trips and study tours to connect with international market resources.
