Zhongshan held an economic analysis meeting for H1 2026 on July 24. A signing ceremony for key projects was held on site, where the Guzhen central cultural, commercial and tourism project was signed.

Located south of Dengdu Wetland Park, the project covers about 66,700 square meters. It will be a mixed-use development integrating culture, commerce, leisure and tourism, with planned investment of about 2 billion yuan.

The project will feature new retail and consumption formats, including park-style commercial spaces and immersive experiences, and will include a five-star hotel. A super-tall tower will be built to house a lighting culture museum and an observation deck over 150 meters high, offering panoramic views of the "Lighting Capital of China" to visitors.
