Shortly after the Summer Solstice, golden waves rippled across rice paddies in Zhongshan's Yakou village. Harvesters shuttled through the fields, kicking off the summer harvest.

Yakou's 133 hectares of contiguous paddies are seeing harvesting, drying and plowing proceed in an orderly manner. According to a farm production worker, this year's overall harvest is expected to hold steady, with yields averaging around 6,000 kilograms per hectare.
