Export orders surge as Canton Fair spillover effect persists
2026-05-09

The 139th Canton Fair drew to a successful close on May 5. Through exhibition-driven foot traffic, in-depth factory tours and sustained follow-ups, enterprises in Zhongshan have extended cross-border cooperation to the production line, turning fair-generated leads into concrete orders.

On May 7, buyers from Germany, Hungary, and other countries visited Zhongshan, touring factories in Henglan and Shaxi towns for negotiations that resulted in on-site deals and supply agreements.

In the production facilities of Chuangyuzhong, a coating technology company in Henglan, talks were animated as German buyers inspected samples and explored the products' competitive edge.

A veteran in the paint industry, Chuangyuzhong has developed over 100 proprietary functional coating products, which are exported to markets across Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, Australia, and South Korea.

When foreign buyers step onto the factory floor, the conversation always comes down to next year's global market rollout and plans for customized new products, said Chuangyuzhong chairman Xiang Hongsheng. "By proactively courting the right buyers while riding the Canton Fair's momentum, companies can lock in global orders and steadily expand their international footprint."
