Zhongshan's South District recently signed a number of industrial manufacturing and culture-tourism projects, with a total investment of approximately 150 million yuan.

Industrial manufacturing projects target niche markets, such as R&D and production of smart optoelectronic devices, healthy appliances and core components, to complement the district's existing intelligent manufacturing sectors.

Cultural-tourism projects will tap into the district's overseas Chinese-related, ecological and historic building resources, deploying in Caobian Village and Maling areas with performances, specialty campsites and etc.
