The 7-day Huangpu Preserved Meat ICH Food & Tourism Week 2025 opened at Huangpu International Convention and Exhibition Center's outer square on December 29.

The event spotlights Huangpu's traditional preserved meat craftsmanship and municipal-level intangible cultural heritage techniques for cooking Huangpu-style freshwater eel, drawing crowds for authentic flavors.

Featuring 139 participating enterprises, the event brings together domestic and international specialty cuisines in addition to local delicacies, creating a one-stop gourmet hub.
Throughout the week, traditional performances including Chaoshan Yingge dance, glow-in-the-dark lion and dragon dances, Sichuan opera face-changing, magic and acrobatics shows will be staged in turns.
Drone light shows will enhance the spectacle, while popular actors from the beloved TV series The House of 72 Tenantswill show up to interact with visitors.
On December 31 evening, a concert will ring in the new year with joyous melodies.
