The National Special Olympic Games bocce event started at Zhongshan Gymnasium on December 8 morning and will run through December 14.

Up to 130 athletes from 28 teams representing different provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities and special administrative regions are competing in this first event of the Zhongshan division for the 2025 National Paralympic Games and National Special Olympic Games.

As a key host city, Zhongshan will stage four Special Olympics events, including athletics, bocce, powerlifting and roller skating.
