Zhongshan Open University and Korea University signed a cooperation agreement On December 3. The two sides will jointly establish the Korea University Preparatory Education Center, offering Korean language and cultural literacy courses.

The center has launched enrollment targeting high school graduates and current 12th graders of non-Korean nationality (both students and their parents).
"The center will prioritize language training, with a teaching team comprising renowned Korea University scholars and returnees with Korean study experience," said Yu Jianhua, president of Zhongshan Open University.
Students who complete the 4-month preparatory program and pass assessments can gain direct entry to Korea University's undergraduate programs without additional exams. Degrees earned will be certified by Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, MOE.
The center adopts flexible online and offline teaching methods to enhance students' Korean proficiency and academic skills, aiding rapid adaptation to overseas education systems. Available majors span law, business, medicine and social sciences.
In recent years, Zhongshan Open University has been actively expanding international partnerships, establishing strategic ties with institutions such as Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University in Thailand.
