Huanggang High School of Hubei Province Education Group and Zhongshan Yulu Education Group formalized a partnership in Banfu Town on October 17. The collaboration aims to establish Banfu's first high school — tentatively named Zhongshan Yulu Senior High School — slated to welcome its first cohort of Grade 10 students in autumn 2026.
Spanning 10.87 hectares with 80,000 square meters of built space, the school will house three grades across 66 classes, accommodating 3,600 students. The inaugural 2026 intake targets 670 freshmen, prioritizing applicants from Banfu and adjacent areas.
The management team will feature a seasoned Huanggang principal and education experts, fully adopting Huanggang High School's pedagogical philosophy and operational frameworks. Faculty will comprise Huanggang's master teachers and top educators, as well as teaching elites in Zhongshan.
Yulu Senior High School will integrate Huanggang's signature academic programs, competitive exam preparation systems and student development models. Curriculum development will merge Zhongshan's cultural heritage with the Greater Bay Area's industrial needs to create locally tailored courses.
