The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province recently released the 2025 list of advanced smart factories, recognizing 90 companies from 13 cities province-wide.

Nine enterprises based in Zhongshan made the cut: Perfect (Guangdong) Daily Necessities Co, Sosen Power Technology Co, MLS Electronics Co, Broad-Ocean Motor Co, Mltor CNC Technology Co, Jiawei Electronics Co, Galanz Electrical Appliances Manufacturing Co, Wistron (Zhongshan) Co, and Akeso-Sino Pharma Co. These companies span key sectors including food and beverage, electronics, home furnishing materials, automotive manufacturing, and biopharmaceuticals.

To date, up to 86.1% of Zhongshan's industrial enterprises above designated size have completed digital transformation. The city boasts one global "Lighthouse Factory", 86 municipal-or-higher-level smart manufacturing pilot projects, and 31 provincial industrial internet benchmark demonstration projects.
