At the recently concluded 3rd International Pre-cooked Food Industry Conference held in Guangdong's Foshan, the "Top 100 Chinese Pre-Cooked Food Enterprises & Guangdong Specialty Ingredients List" was unveiled. Zhongshan's Shiqi Pigeon and Crisp Grass Carp secured spots in the top 20 of Guangdong specialty ingredients roster.
In the first half of 2025, Guangdong's pre-cooked food sector surpassed 96 billion yuan in output value, representing 13.7% of the national total and marking over 28% year-on-year growth. The province is home to nearly 8,000 related enterprises, accounting for 11.9% of China's total. Regional specialty clusters such as Foshan's Claypot Feast, Zhuhai's Sea Bass and Zhongshan's Shiqi Pigeon are taking shape.
