The ShenZhong Link officially opened to traffic on June 30, 2024, serving as a monumental project and a vital link for the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Together with the Humen Bridge, Nansha Bridge, Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway and other infrastructure, it tightly connects different GBA city clusters, significantly enhancing the value of the "Golden Inner Bay" at the Pearl River estuary.
