A medical device supply-demand matchmaking event was held in Zhongshan on September 15 as part of the China Pharmaceutical Industry Development Conference 2026.

Unlike conventional conferences, the event put the negotiation area at the rear of the venue, taking production-and-sales matchmaking and policy consultation beyond scripted speeches and turning them into face-to-face talks.

The event brought together representatives from healthcare institutions, testing and inspection agencies, financial institutions, medical device manufacturers and professional service providers to exchange views on procurement management for medical equipment and consumables, AI and IoT applications, and market access for medical devices in ASEAN.

"The overseas Chinese guests from the Middle East showed great interest after trying our products on site, and expressed their intention to bring the products to overseas markets," said Chen Chunhua, deputy general manager of tech firm Wuyuyun.
