The steel cap beams for gantry piers No.24 to No.26 of the Zhongshan Station southeast connecting line bridge over the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity Railway, part of Section 10 of the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway project, were successfully installed on August 25.

The bridge, located in Torch Hi-Tech Zone, spans the operational electrified Guangzhou-Zhuhai Intercity Railway.

The three gantry piers are steel-concrete composite structures, while the cap beams are box-girder steel sections. The heaviest single-beam lift weighed 132.76 tonnes.
