Wantian Artificial Intelligence Technology, a subsidiary of China Wantian Holdings, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Hunan-based company Xtellar Robotics in Zhongshan's East District on July 28.
"East District is the birthplace of Wangu Group, which helped China Wantian Holdings grow and expand into the Greater Bay Area," said Zhong Xueyong, vice chairman and CEO of China Wantian Holdings, co-chairman and CEO of Wangu Group. He added that choosing Zhongshan as the base for the collaborative project reflects the company's confidence in the city's industrial potential.
Going forward, the two companies will leverage Zhongshan's manufacturing strengths and East District's service sector to deploy humanoid robots in real-world settings such as smart communities, urban public services and factory floors. With East District as the industrial headquarters, they plan to enter the ASEAN, the Middle East and European and American markets, enabling robots made in Zhongshan to compete globally. They also aim to bring products to the mass consumer market and build a reliable, approachable proprietary brand.
