The south main pylon of Hailong Bridge over the Xiaolan Waterway was topped out on June 2, completing both pylons and marking the official start of main girder construction.

To date, the project is progressing smoothly. The superstructure of Donghe Bridge is now under construction, the main pylon of Xiahengli Waterway Bridge has reached its third section, and the west zone expansion of Zhongshan Highway Service Area is nearing completion.

Once opened to traffic, the west bank of the Pearl River Estuary is expected to see a capacity increase of over 40%, further strengthening the "one-hour commuting circle" linking Guangzhou, Zhongshan and Zhuhai.
