The Fourth Session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) opens in Beijing on March 5. On March 2, NPC deputies Mi Xuemei and Zhao Guizhi departed for Beijing to attend the 2026 "two sessions."
As customer service chief of Royal Family, a clothing company in Zhongshan, and a nine-year NPC deputy, Mi consistently champions migrant workers' interests. This year, she will continue advocating for local access to nine-year compulsory education for migrant children.

"A strong nation needs strong talent, and educational equity is the foundation," she said, urging national policy refinement to ensure equal educational access for all children.
She also plans to share Zhongshan's innovations in developing new quality productive forces during the session.
With over twenty years of experience in education, Zhao Guizhi, vice principal of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School, will focus on building a high-quality teaching force.

She recommends emphasizing teaching-research staff development nationwide and improving research guidance mechanisms to support educational quality. "Next, we could explore cross-disciplinary or interdisciplinary collaborative teaching-research," she added.
