The Zhongshan Division of the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games concluded on December 14.

Zhongshan hosted four Special Olympics events: bocce, athletics, roller skating and powerlifting. Ten Special Olympics athletes from Zhongshan represented Guangdong in powerlifting and roller skating, securing 5 gold, 17 silver, and 9 bronze medals.
