The 2025 National Paralympic Games and National Special Olympic Games powerlifting event kicked off on December 9 at Zhongshan Torch Development Zone No.1 Middle School.

Running through December 16, the event features 65 athletes from 16 teams representing 15 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, competing in a showdown of strength and determination.

Five athletes from Zhongshan will represent Guangdong Team One to vie for victory in five youth groups (44kg, 60kg, 67.5kg, 75kg and 90kg).
