Short story film "The Wind That Shakes The Prisoner Ant" by emerging Zhongshan filmmaker Chen Zhaorong has garnered recognition at the 2025 Golden Rooster Awards, China's top film competition, under the spotlight of the China Golden Rooster & Hundred Flowers Film Festival.

As the first chapter of Chen's "Urban Trauma Trilogy," the film marks a creative milestone while embodying Zhongshan's cultural richness and educational depth. "The city's tolerance and warmth let me slow down to observe life and reflect on humanity," Chen says.
Since its inception in Zhongshan, the work has traveled to international platforms including the 14th Macau International Micro-Movie Festival, 2nd Gjon Mili Video Art Festival, Asian Art Film Festival and 2025 New York City Independent Film Festival. It has won many awards at the 2024 Varsity Film Expo, Youth International Online Short Video Competition, FFF Film Festival, and etc.

A graduate of South Korea's Chung-Ang University in film directing, also a former student of No.1 Middle School of Zhongshan and Longshan High School, Chen remains driven by endless learning and passion. "My next work will delve into overlooked contemporary stories with nuanced storytelling," he says.
