The 7th China Society of Fisheries Fan Li Technology Award recently announced its winners. Yang Jing, a senior aquaculture engineer at Sanjiao Agriculture and Forestry Service Center, played a pivotal role in the "Hybrid Snakehead Breeding Research and Industrial Application" project, which earned the second prize for scientific and technological progress.

This prestigious award recognizes breakthroughs in elite seed cultivation and industrial application, solidifying Sanjiao town's snakehead industry as a benchmark of agricultural innovation in Zhongshan. The achievement underscores the region's technological prowess in transforming aquaculture through scientific advancement.

Today, the Sanjiao snakehead industry has become a "flagship" of Zhongshan's agriculture. With a town-wide cultivation area of 15,500 mu, annual production of 90,000 tons, and an annual output value exceeding 1.5 billion yuan, its marketable fish are sold nationwide.
