The 2025 Overseas Chinese (Zhongshan) Essay Competition Series kicked off in Zhongshan on September 22, accepting submissions worldwide through October 31.

Since its 2015 inception, the event has drawn over 10,000 entries from youth across more than 20 countries and regions. 

This year's edition introduces key innovations in Chinese-language education, offering overseas Chinese youth a vibrant platform to experience Chinese culture and explore Greater Bay Area development. 

Over 50 overseas Chinese associations and Chinese-language schools from 30 countries participated in the opening ceremony via video link.
