Jianglong Shipbuilding on August 8 christened the lead vessel of its 20-meter-class aquaculture workboat series built for Norway's Moen Marin, marking its maiden entry into the Nordic market.
Xi Fangyuan, board secretary of Jianglong Shipbuilding, noted that while the company's previous exports primarily consisted of official-use vessels to Belt and Road countries, the latest delivery represents its first breakthrough into Northern Europe.
Measuring 21 meters in length, 12 meters in beam and 5.1 meters in depth, the twin-hull workboat features an advanced diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system that enhances fuel efficiency while reducing environmental impact.
The vessel incorporates specialized cold-resistant systems to ensure reliable performance in Norwegian and similar high-latitude frigid waters. Its robust design enables sustained fishing and aquaculture activities in challenging maritime conditions.
Jianglong Shipbuilding is China's leading manufacturer of small-to-medium vessels and a nationally recognized "Little Giant" enterprise, whose products now serve over 30 countries across Asia, the Middle East and West Africa.
