Zhongshan's Fusha General Airport has been recently approved as a provincial-level aviation flight camp (Flying Box Aviation Flight Camp). In the future, it will serve the research, development, testing and flight-testing of low-altitude aircrafts, as well as undertake low-altitude cultural and tourism scenarios such as flight training, flight experience, and aerial photography.
The camp, covering a planned area of 240 mu (about 16 hectares), is constructing an 800-meter runway, a 13-hectare lawn, an aviation sci-tech hall, a museum, and hangars.
Projects such as a pilot school have settled in the flight camp. An increasing number of flight enthusiasts from neighboring cities such as Guangzhou and Shenzhen have come to experience flight in Fusha.
