During the just-ended May Day holiday, Zhongshan Passenger Port handled over 16,000 inbound and outbound passengers, with a daily average exceeding 3,200. This represents a significant 48% increase compared with the same period last year when the old port was in operation.

The passengers mainly include mainland residents traveling abroad and Hong Kong residents visiting relatives in Zhongshan. Over 88% of passengers were on routes between Zhongshan Passenger Port and China Ferry Terminal in Hong Kong.
