The Zhongshan Intermediate People's Court, Sun Yat-sen University School of Law and Zhongshan Lawyers Association had partnered up to launch the Greater Bay Area International Rule of Law Teaching Base.
The collaboration formalizes through a Memorandum of Cooperation, establishing the teaching base to advance foreign-related legal practice.
Moving forward, the SYSU School of Law and Zhongshan Intermediate People's Court will innovate a collaborative mechanism for foreign law identification based on court's practical needs and law school's expertise. The SYSU School of Law will provide authoritative analysis on applying Hong Kong, Macao, and Anglo-American laws in complex foreign-related cases, enhancing adjudication accuracy.
Simultaneously, the two parties will strengthen bidirectional talent development, including intensifying training for personnel specializing in foreign-related adjudication, offering internship positions to boost students' practical judicial skills, and etc.
The institutions will also collaborate on cutting-edge issues such as cross-border data compliance and foreign-related IP protection, converting research outcomes into case-specific adjudication guidelines.
