After eight months of meticulous renovation, the Ma Leshan Cartoon Model Memorial Square has opened to the public, becoming a new culture-tourism landmark in the area.

Visitors entering the square are greeted by a playful giant Snoopy model peeking over the gray-brick roof, while the square's perimeter features engraved timelines chronicling Ma Leshan's life and his dedication to cartoon model creation.

A central glass platform displays beloved cartoon icons, such as Snoopy, Mickey Mouse and the local Shiqi Pigeon, while the "HELLO Shachong" installation and Snoopy photo wall are poised to become youth-favorite photo spots.

With the 2026 Spring Festival approaching, Shachong Village will concurrently launch festive activities including intangible cultural heritage parades and Year of the Horse-themed promotions.

On Chinese New Year's Day, Shachong Village will host a grand parade featuring traditional lion dances, high-pole dragon and phoenix dances, ribbon dragon performances, and the signature Ma's Spear shows.
