On January 28, 2024, a garden that had slumbered for many years awoke in the city center.

Since then, it has had a new name — Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Park. Yet, its former name, Zhongshan Nursing Home, still remains deep in people's memories. As time flies, the old Leisure Building has been renamed Overseas Chinese Heart Building. For 40 years, it has stood there quietly, witnessing the changes of this city.

Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Park is not only a green space for people to exercise and relax, but also a living harbor where one encounters the fragrance of books and the flavors of cuisine, and moreover, a landmark of nostalgia for Zhongshan people at home and abroad. The successful practice of the Overseas Chinese Park revitalization project has strengthened the emotional bond between us and the overseas Chinese.
